Ecologia Oggi Spa deals with separate collection in Paola, Cetraro and Cosenza by carrying out an integrated system for processing waste and favouring the recovery of materials through selection and treatment.
Ecologia Oggi Spa is a dealer for COBAT for the recovery of exhausted lead batteries.
Furthermore, Ecologia Oggi Spa is a concession collector for COOU (Consorzio Obbligatorio Oli Usati, Mandatory Used Oils Consortium) and the C.O.N.O.E. (Consorzio Obbligatorio Nazionale di raccolta e trattamento oli e grassi vegetali ed animali esausti, the Compulsory national consortium for the collection and treatment of oils and exhausted vegetable and animal oils and fats).
Since November 2009 Ecologia Oggi Spa has been entrusted with the R.S.U. (recycling of solid urban waste), sweeping and separate collection of the city of Cosenza (Capital of the province of Cosenza of about 70,000 inhabitants) and achieving a percentage of integrated separate collection door to door of more than 71%. This result placed the local council of Cosenza in 13th place in the ranking of the “Urban ecosystem 2017” amongst the Provincial Capitals and in first place amongst the local councils of Southern Italy.
In addition, the Company carries out separate door to door urban collection also in the City of Paola (with about 16,500 inhabitants) and currently the percentage of separate collection achieved door to door is greater than 70%.
The Integrated Urban Waste Management Cycle based on the “Ecologia Oggi Spa model” is a modern system that follows the waste from the predefined collection until it is fully exploited.
